Thank you for visiting my website. I realize it is difficult to decide who may be in the best position to help you so this website is here to give you information.  I am a Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at York Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. I have previously won the York Press Healthcare Hero Award (for providing excellence in patient care            ). After 11 years as a consultant I took the decision to enter private practice. My principle reason for doing so was to enable closer collaboration with a wide range of professionals in order to provide a holistic approach to patient centered care.

 

Whilst current services often focus on the interventions that medical practitioners have to offer it is my belief that optimal care often has to involve a combination of professionals working as a team, with the patient so that the patient not only gets the best “medical care” but is also enabled to get the best out of their lives. It is my desire to provide such a service that led me starting private practice. As a consequence you will find links to a number of other practitioners on my site.

 

I trained in Nottingham and completed my training in Gastroenterology at Kings College Hospital in London. I am married and have two daughters.
